first note: if you're here to whine or ***** about poppy, i'm not even gonna do a tl/dr. GO AWAY
Poppy is one of those rare champions who ended up being completely different than initially designed, she was origionally and conceptually based around the idea of a tank, having the highest base armor in the game + her w gives her a free chain vest. Though she has no mr/level her passive was designed to prevent her from getting bursted down, also, like most tanks, she has high base damage and some cc/utility. In her q dealing high base damage and her e having decent damage + knockback/stun. With most other tanks, she was also given an ultimate that made her extremely tanky, literally letting her ignore other champions... except, then people just ignored her because she was a tank they couldn't hurt...
So what did the players do? built her like an assassin and blew everyone up!
Poppy has long been sitting in the backgrounds of league, known only for her abysmal (arguably the worst) early game and some of the best late game, she's not the only champion like this and simply fell to the category of 'underplayed potential hypercarry' And has been there for a long time. However, with her seeing her first appearance in the LCS and it being such a SMASHING hit (yea yea bad >.>, i know) I've got a feeling she might finally get some attention, the question is, what will it be?
To quote Morello himself 'Poppy is fundamentally broken, and unless she gets a rework, if she is ever used in heavy competetive play, we might have her go the way of Evelynn, the only champion we have ever overnerfed'
In my humble opinion, it's Poppy's dual design of 'tank/assassin' that has left her so broken. and with the potential of a rework coming up, poppy players have to ask ourselves, what do we think poppy should be? To me poppy has always been like the old karma before her rework, a stubborn girl who always lasts a little longer than you think, then turns around and beats your face in. Both were capable of surprising lethality and survivability, but since Karma's passive was deemed to not mix well with the rest of the game 'the objective is to kill her, but if you try to kill her you make her stronger' they had to change it out. While i'm sad about that, it does make sense.
Poppy is also a nightmare in the same right, the lower her hp, the less damage she takes. To my knowledge, it is impossible for anyone in the game to 1shot poppy, barring viegar farming for over half an hour (trust me, a friend of mine tried for 20 minutes) at level 18 you'd literally have to do 3574 damage in a single hit to kill her, and that's not including magic resist.
With the possibility of nerfs/reworks coming in the future. The players should speak up, what do we think poppy is? Should she go back to her origins of being a tanky bruiser? Or should she be redesigned to fit more with what the players have done to her as a hybrid assassin/carry?
For what it's worth, I'd much like to see poppy be tuned to the assassin mindset, as the slam+wham has always been so satisfying, and when it takes away half of someone's hp, it only makes her feel better, especially when we still have champions like jax and darius who are capable of demolishing 2-3 targets if they're fed and relying on their natural tankyness to get them though.
I'm honestly not sure what could be done to 'fix' poppy without breaking her for everyone who has loved her for so long. I do know her ultimate will probably be going out the window, but I would really love to see her keep her passive and the wham+bam of her e+q.
What do you guys think?
League Poppy Does Dmg Full Tank Free
He really is the best and he's passive is op and he's w is the best armor and magic resist bonuses. He's taunt op, he's ult op Best tanker that I've ever used in League of Legends. All of his skill is very powerful and useful in clash. Rammus can ambush one or two enemy and can easily escape using. Dec 02, 2017 Why Poppy? So, most people play Poppy as a tank, which of course is not bad at all. She has hard cc and good use for spellblade effects. The reason you never see a full AD Poppy is because it is not exactly as reliable. It is very strong, of course, but often only if: 1) The enemy team has no tanks or at least any very tough ones,.
