Summary: Offense mods are the best for pure DPS until you reach 40% Crit Chance. After this point, Crit Damage mods pull further and further ahead. Crit chance mods, mathematically, yield less damage output than the other two sets. Mac os x 10.6.8 dmg. There are exceptions though for characters with secondary effects like GS. - The secondaries are not very good in this case
- Offense sets aren't as effective as critical damage and chance, in almost all cases
- Speed primaries do drop from challenges, you don't need to buy for primary stats only
- Learn from it and move on

- 870 postsMemberIf the speed arrow can be used to replace out an existing offense set arrow that doesn't have speed then its worth it.
Personally, I don't really use offense mod sets so I wouldn't buy that speed arrow, but I have bought +30 speed arrows for defense, critical chance, potency & speed sets that I already had on toons to get them sped up, but those were only for toons I run in Arena.
For me, buying +30 speed arrows only makes sense if it works with the sets I already want to use for toons.
And +30 speed arrows are really the only mods I've bought from mod shipments. I farm the rest through mod challenges. - 1635 postsMember@Palanthian
Not saying your wrong as you have undoubtedly farmed way more mods than me but I JUST got my first 5dot speed primary today. It was a health set bonus mod. Aside from that one I also just got my first 3dot speed primary today. I have two 4dot speed primaries (both potency) and a handful of 1-2dot speed primaries.
If this came up in shipments for me I WOULD have bought because I got a pretty sweet set of offense mods from the mod pack last time. Almost of all of the offense mods have great crit chance secondaries so my Leia actually has about the same crit chance added as my Lando with crit chance mods.
The only thing she is missing now is speed. If OP is like me, he can't farm 5dot offense mods anyways.

Pretty sure the existing secondary stats are upgraded first up to the number of existing stats, THEN new stats are added on later secondary 'stat levels'.
So in your example a blue with 2 secondary's.. the existing stats would be upgraded at 4 and 6, not 9 and 12.
Blue just has a higher chance to upgrade speed twice (25%). If you are super lucky and have a yellow, speed secondary could be upgraded 4 times. Though I think the chance for that is 0.39%. - 1635 postsMember@Sacull_Kinslayer

I loved using Ventress. I was just tired of making into the 20's and dropping into the 60's-70's overnight so I had to make a change.
She made Ackbar teams and most droid teams a breeze though when I had Daka at 219 speed.
Lando lead is the first time I've followed the cookie cutter meta.
If shore trooper and kenobi end up becoming meta, she might get taken off the shelf again

I have some guys on my shard who have hit the 1000 mod achievement and have less than 5 speed arrows.
If you are in that boat, that arrow is easily worth 3m even if the secondaries stink.
Would I spend crystals on it? No way. With the new credit heist, would I drop 3m. Yes.
